Ray Lin is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Washington and a board-certified diplomat by the NCCAOM. He graduated from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Medicine with a major in Acupuncture. During his studies, Ray was selected as the representative of his school to visit the New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, aiming to strengthen the future of Oriental Medicine.
During his intensive five years of medical training in China, Ray worked under physicians at several top integrated hospitals, where modern Western Medicine departments were combined with Traditional Chinese Medicine departments. He also completed a one-year clinical internship, logging over 2,000 clinical hours. Ray has treated and studied a wide range of conditions, including musculoskeletal pain disorders, sleep disturbances, gynecological issues, stroke rehabilitation, gastrointestinal disorders, upper respiratory conditions, emotional and stress-related issues, chronic fatigue, circulatory disorders, and more.
Ray believes that the integration of modern Western medicine with traditional Chinese methodologies—through the use of acupuncture, herbal supplements, cupping, Tui-Na, and Gua-Sha (scraping)—helps him design personalized treatment plans that support balanced wellness for his patients. Additionally, Ray has had the privilege of being mentored by his mother, Lee Huang, the founder of Able Acupuncture Clinic, who brings more than 35 years of experience in the healthcare field.
Ray’s path to traditional Chinese medicine began when he received acupuncture treatment from his mother at Able Acupuncture Clinic for an unknown cause of chronic diarrhea. The success of that treatment sparked his deep interest in Oriental Medicine, leading him to pursue his education and training in acupuncture and Chinese medicine in China.
Ray shares: “My passion and purpose in life are to help those in need, and I have deep compassion for those who are suffering. I am honored and blessed to be part of the healthcare system and to provide care for my community.”
